SPONSORSPARTNERS
Poland’s National Centre for Culture (Narodowe Centrum Kultury) has appointed Four Sports, Arts & Sponsorship to provide cultural sponsorship workshops in Warsaw. The September workshops will specifically target Polish businesses open to partnering with the arts and, separately, arts organisations seeking sponsors.
Active for more than 60 years, Poland’s National Centre for Culture initiates and coordinates strategic programmes promoting culture as an important factor of social and economic development and civic education. The cultural sponsorship workshops are part of the Centre’s “Culture Counts!” campaign which advocates culture’s wider development potential and supports activities to increase culture and commercial collaborations.
The three days of workshops – the first for businesses and the second and third days for arts organisations - will demonstrate the value of arts sponsorship, include advice on how to best seek a potential partner as well as how to develop effective and deliverable sponsorship propositions that benefit both parties.
Four Sports, Arts & Sponsorship, part of Four Communications Group, are experts in cultural sponsorship and communication consultancy. Arts clients, past and present, include Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), the London Jazz Festival, the British Library, the Scout Association and the Liverpool European Capital of Culture 2008. Advising major companies and organisations on their cultural sponsorship programmes, the team has also led campaigns for sponsors partnering with cultural events and organisations
including Design Miami/ and Design Miami/ Basel, the British Museum, the Edinburgh International Festival and Abu Dhabi Art.
Commenting on the announcement, Magdalena Kulikowska, National Centre for Culture (Narodowe Centrum Kultury) said: “The Polish cultural sector is growing extremely quickly and we were keen to bring Four onboard to share its cultural sponsorship expertise through these workshops. Part of the remit of our “Culture Counts!‟ campaign is to encourage the professionalisation of Poland’s cultural sponsorship sector and the strong interest to date from both businesses and arts organisations seeking partnerships has been extremely
encouraging.”
Rachel Clarke, Director, Sports, Arts & Sponsorship added: “Cultural sponsorship is an exciting marketing tool for a wide range of companies, and the corporate sector is an important source of funding for the arts, all over the world. Our workshops aim to educate and inspire both sponsors and arts organisations about the mutual benefits of working together. We are particularly pleased to be taking our sponsorship training to Poland during its EU presidency.”
