Gilbert Rugby Signs To Scottish Rugby

Scottish Rugby has signed a new long-term contract with Gilbert Rugby as its official and exclusive ball and equipment supplier.

Scottish Rugby Director of Communications and Public Affairs, Dominic McKay, said: "It's reassuring to have the backing of such a quality brand as we look ahead to an action-packed 2012 for all our national teams at all levels of the game."

Sales and Marketing Director at Gilbert Rugby, Richard Gray, said: "Scotland is one of our longest established relationships and Gilbert has been supplying the balls to Scottish Rugby from its earliest days. We are therefore very pleased that Scottish Rugby have chosen to continue to use the Gilbert ball. Their confidence endorses the quality of the Gilbert ball and demonstrates Gilbert's strong association with rugby at the highest level around the world. We are now looking forward to continuing our excellent relationship with Scotland and helping Scottish Rugby develop the game with an increased investment in the sport at the grass-roots level and in the sevens arena which of course first started in Scotland."

Gilbert has been selected as the official ball for the 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cups and supplies balls for, amongst many others:  Australia, The Barbarians, Canada, England, France, Ireland, Namibia, Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, USA, Super Rugby, the LNR and The Aviva Premiership.
