Charlie Greenwood, former Head of Strategic Planning at Nike UK, has joined the UK’s leading sports participation agency, Limelight Sports. Greenwood who has also worked for Reuters in London and the US was also the founder and CEO of Equipio.com, the online social shopping network for sports equipment. Greenwood takes up the position of Director of Strategy and Innovation reporting directly to Limelight Sports Group CEO, Craig Dews.

Limelight Sports was named Sponsorship Agency of the Year in the small/medium size agency category at the Hollis Sponsorship Awards in late March. Limelight’s client Nike, won the award for Best Grass Roots Sponsorship for its The Chance campaign and one of the company’s Senior Programme Managers, Sandra Almqvist, won the Barrie Gill Award for Most Promising Young Executive.
