Michael Dobbs, Author Of House Of Cards, To Host The 21st UK Sponsorship Awards. 4 Days Until Entry Deadline

The organisers of the UK Sponsorship Awards are delighted to announce that this year’s event will be hosted by Michael Dobbs, member of the House of Lords and author of House Of Cards, now an acclaimed TV series on VOD platform Netflix.

Baron Dobbs, who became a life peer in 2010, will join around 500 of the sponsorship industry’s leading lights at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, on the evening of March 24th, 2015. As an author, politician, Netflix collaborator and former director of Saatchi & Saatchi, he is uniquely positioned to understand the crucial role of creativity in commerce, something that sits at the heart of 21st century marketing communications.

UK Sponsorship Awards organiser Rosemary Sarginson said: “Michael Dobbs is the unique authorial voice behind one of the most ground-breaking TV series of our times, House Of Cards. There is a lot that the sponsorship industry can learn from him about the evolving nature of media and the way audiences engage with storytelling. I’m thrilled that he will be with us to celebrate our 21st anniversary and share his experiences.”

For anyone interested in entering the Awards there are still a few days to go before the final deadline, which is Friday January 16th. “I’d urge any brands, consultancies, media firms, event organisers, rights holders and charities that haven’t already done so to get an entry in,” said Sarginson. “There are numerous business benefits to winning an Award or being nominated, so it’s worth finding a few hours to take part.”
