Sports Revolution And MEC Access Create Super Sub Campaign For Navy

Sports Revolution and MEC Access have joined forces to deliver an awareness building campaign for the Royal Navy. The campaign will be activated in 15 football clubs to drive applications for the Royal Naval Reserve, increasing awareness of the role the Reserve plays in the Navy.

The campaign centres on substitutions made in sport, highlighting that the players are specialists called upon when the manager needs them most, drawing an analogy between the role these substitutes play and the role of the Reserves in the Navy.

The line: ‘Have you got what it takes? Be a Super Sub with the Royal Navy Reserve’ is displayed on the pitch side LEDs and tannoy at the moment that players are substituted. Royal Naval Reserve messaging will also feature on stadium concourse TVs and in match day programmes.

Sports Revolution’s relationships with the football clubs and inventories of LEDs and concourse TVs has helped deliver the message to the prime target audience, predominantly men aged 16-40. The activation is being carried out in partnership with clubs including Fulham, Cardiff, Sunderland and Rangers.
