Standard Life appoints Kevin Peake as Head of Brand and Sponsorship

Standard Life has appointed Kevin Peake as Head of Brand and Sponsorship, a newly created position, to bolster its growth strategy. The move follows Phoenix Group’s acquisition of vthe Standard Life brand last year. Kevin will be responsible for leading Standard Life’s brand and sponsorship activity, continuing a current programme of investment. 

Kevin's role will be to help drive Standard Life’s ambition to increase its presence in several key markets including workplace pensions, bulk purchase annuities, lifetime mortgages and retail savings. He will take responsibility for Standard Life’s brand campaign while seeking sponsorship opportunities for the  brand. Kevin will sit on the company’s marketing leadership board reporting to Sangita Chawla, Chief Marketing Officer at Standard Life.  

Kevin joins Standard Life from BDP Pitmans, one of London’s top law firms where he was Marketing and Business Development Director. Prior to his this, he has worked in a broad range of regulated customer-facing businesses across Financial Services, Utilities, Legal and Retail. Kevin created the npower energy brand and was responsible for a wide range of sponsorships, including the npower Test Cricket series and award-winning TV commercials with Wallace & Gromit. He was also Director of Brand and Sponsorship with Aviva and advertising manager at TSB.
