Threshold Sports Partner With Leading Brazilian Sports Marketing Agency

 

Sports marketing company Threshold Sports has joined forces with Brazilian agency Koch Tavares. The agreement will offer Threshold Sports an on-ground presence in Brazil in the build-up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in 2016. 

Both companies are at the forefront of the sports marketing industry. Threshold Sports, the London based sports marketing agency with consultancy and events divisions, was created in 2007 and boast a client roster that includes BP, Nokia, Standard Life, SiS, Deloitte, Cisco, UPS, Nokia, Sport Relief and adidas. 

Founded in 1972 by Brazilian tennis stars Thomaz Koch and Luis Felipe Tavares, Koch Tavares is the leading sports marketing agency in South America. Responsible for the successful creation of Beach Volleyball and Beach Soccer as professional sports and with offices in Rio de Janeiro, Säo Paulo and Barcelona, Koch Tavares has coordinated a host of major national and international events including the creation of the Brasil Open, launching the Petrobas Tennis Cup on the ATP Challenger Series, the WNBA Tour, the Pan American Cup and the Eternit Cup. Their consultancy clients include P&G and Vivo.

Threshold Sports was created in 2007 and provides sports marketing and sport events management services. The company was co-founded by James Cracknell, British Olympic double gold medal winner, Julian Mack, the former head of global sponsorship at Sony Ericsson, and Charlie Beauchamp, the founder of the charity Access Sport. Threshold Sports creates and builds mass participation sports events such as its own ‘Deloitte Ride Across Britain’ and London Revolution Series. Threshold also work with brands such as BP, Nokia, Standard Life, SiS, Deloitte, Cisco, UPS, adidas and Atos, as well as charities including Comic Relief and government agencies to build their own events and encourage sustained participation in sports.
